Published January 20, 2009, in the midst of deep freeze extreme even for Duluth, which is on the same longitude as Siberia.

J.B. Stoner was the sort of guy our Stoner would describe as "a disgrace to stoners" and our Nazi would describe as "undisciplined."

The Duluth Moose Tribune, the paper of record that everyone here gripes about yet everyone reads, is the subject of another tale down the road. Duluth is surrounded by and infiltrated with undeveloped land, so moose and other wildlife sometimes wander into town like in the opening credits of "Northern Exposure."

After this strip appeared, some tacky little tourist trap up the shore started publishing a rag called "Moose News & Tribune." Look, if you're going to rip me off while I'm ripping off the Duluth News Tribune, get it right. It's "News Tribune," not "News & Tribune." Yeesh. (P.S. If you have to go there, check out Hughie's Taco House, live music, Artist's Point, and the big back yard.)
